Shrouded like Residual extends the context of Stigmata and Stigmata 2.0, again as a photographic series, that obscures the text of Stigmata 2.0. By obfuscating the original artworks employed damning inditements in darkness its offensive nature is cloaked, mimicking how society ignores yet freely judges.
The strategy of cloaking the words in darkness directs the audience to come close and scrutinise the image to realise the language employed. The artwork asks the audience to pinpoint what is being masked and demands them to confront this double standard.
